Electrum suitably invites qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Software Developer – Java – Intermediate to join our dynamic team.

Duties & Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be responsible for but not limited to the following job functions:

What you’ll do

• Cruise to work (or perhaps wake up early for a hike with some coworkers)
• Have some morning chats over some barista quality coffee
• Check in with your team: help out by doing some coaching but also and get some mentorship
• Meet with a customer to workshop their requirements
• Write up some technical analysis to give to a junior developer to implement
• Grab lunch and catch up with the rest of the company in the rec room
• Squeeze in a game of table tennis
• Write some amazing code
• Grab another coffee
• Test your code with a customers team
• Maybe grab a drink with some team members after work
• See your solution go live at the end of the day (and test it again when you go to the grocery store and purchase the product you helped enable at one of our customers

 Required Knowledge and Experience

• 3 years experience in software development
• Be strong with Java: Our backend systems are built on this. They are high performance systems that really require you to know what you’re doing in Java.
• A university degree
