The SCC Officer: Warehouse is accountable for ensuring that people, systems, processes, policies and procedures in respect of inventory function optimally and effectively to enable integrated planning, delivery, monitoring and feedback in respect of all stakeholders as well as to ensure governance within the Supply Chain service.
The successful applicant will be responsible for but not limited to the following job functions:
What you’ll do
•To control and co-ordinate internal inventory processes, by securing that all goods receiving and issuing are completed daily, inclusive of capturing of purchase requisitions and service entry sheets within SAP.
•To adhere to all safety standards and procedures on site and ensure Critical Controls are in place and monitored. •Serve as Supervisor for loading and offloading activities in line with safety critical controls.
•To ensure stock accuracy by execution of perpetual counts and the implementation of adequate controls to avoid any change in the inventory accuracy due to failures in control.
•Optimally run all required reports, to analyse and ensure closure of open items; review and present information to both internal and external stakeholders.
•To assist management effectively during year end audits by internal and external auditors and to co-ordinate preparation for the audit process during the year to ensure adherence to organisation policies, procedures and standards.

•Matric, with specific certification, preferably in the supply chain discipline.

•Valid Driver’s License.
•Valid Forklift driving license will be beneficial.
-Knowledge and Experience required:
•Proven experience of at least 5 years in delivering results in warehousing and inventory control in an operational environment.
•Proven experience in lifting and rigging.
•Specialist knowledge within inventory and warehousing
•SAP proficient/Excel proficient
Customs knowledge / background would be advantageous
•Desirable: experience in a marine environment
