Job Description

PEP Stores South Africa is looking for an efficient payroll administrator to be responsible for all payroll processes. The payroll administrator’s duties include the management of employee data, ensuring the accuracy of timesheets, computing wages, and ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time.

To be successful as a payroll administrator you should have strong numeracy skills and be able to multitask effectively. Ultimately, an outstanding payroll administrator should be able to manage all aspects of payroll in a timely and accurate manner.

Duties & Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be responsible for but not limited to the following job functions:

What you’ll do



  • Payroll and leave input and processing
  • Complete the monthly payroll processes
  • Preparing and collecting monthly payroll input
  • Check monthly payroll for errors
  • Filing of all appropriate information and record keeping
  • Processing personnel administarion (medical aid and pension fund)
  • Handling of staff queries
  • Distribution of monthly payslips and relevant payroll communication
  • Ad hoc duties

Desired Experience & Qualification

Required Knowledge and Experience

What you’ll need

  • Grade 12
  • 3 Years experience in a payroll function
  • Basic Accounting ability
  • Proficiency on the CRS payroll system
  • General working knowledge of the BCEA and wage determination will be advantageous
  • Ability to work under pressure during peak times
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
