Ongoing Job Vacancy at MiWay for the position of Merit Desktop Investigator for immediate employment.

Duties & Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be responsible for but not limited to the following job functions:

What you’ll do

• The position will include, but is not limited to, validation of all incidents/claims with high & medium merit indicator, which may include interviewing witnesses, SAPS officials, towing operators, finalizing of reports and administration, liaising with service providers.
• Handling of admin and/or call requests from outlying investigators.
• Handling and resolving all queries and problems from any service providers and/or clients on an outlying investigator claim.

• Grade 12/Standard 10/NQF 4
• FAIS accreditation or a FAIS recognized qualification will be highly beneficial
• Minimum 3 years claims experience on vehicle accidents
• Minimum 3 years in the STI (Short Term Insurance) environment
• Valid Driver’s Licence

Knowledge and Skills

• Claims administration
• Claims settlements of a complex nature
• Payment approval and rejections
• Operate within claims guidelines and compliance
• Coach and mentor less experienced short term claims clerks
