Job Description

Bidvest Bank invite suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Maintenance Administrator to join our dynamic team.

Duties & Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be responsible for but not limited to the following job functions:

What you’ll do

Cost Containment

  • Scrutinizing quotes and resolve anomalies
  • Evaluation of repair quotes to ensure costs within scope of work and market related
  • Manage and control maintenance spend by managing burn rate reports
  • Expense management

External customer relationship
Internal customer satisfaction

Customer Relationship

Customer Complaints

  • Client requests to be met timeously and reaction times met.
  • Turnaround times met with positive attitude, compassion and willingness to assist.
  • Promote harmony within team by leading by example
  • Ad-hoc customer visits to establish fleet performance (3 visits/month)
  • All complaints to be logged and resolved within 48 hours

Vehicles maintained according to OEM`s standards.

Fleet availability and serviceability

Incidents: Processes and workflows

Accident repairs and EOC

Fleet audits

New vehicle inspections

Re-Bill Authorizations
Project Management

MIS (Management Information)

Month End Processes

  • Attend to service due and COF reports. Ensure all client and supplier queries with regards to repairs and maintenance of the fleet are attended promptly
  • Undertake vehicle inspections at service providers to monitor work being done and ensure minimum downtime of vehicles.
  • Scrutinise quotes and invoices for accuracy.
  • Negotiate lowest labour rates and scrutinise workmanship and output of services rendered.
  • Manage all incidents in the Branch. Incidents to be kept to a minimum. All incidents to be resolved timeously according to SLA.
  • Inspect vehicles after being repaired at panel beaters for quality workmanship and EOC process.
  • Manage the EOC process and do stock control audits.
  • Complete Fleet audits for corporate and parastatal customers as and when required.
  • Inspect new vehicles for correctness prior to delivery to customer.
  • Constant follow up on outstanding re-bills – no outstanding re-bills >30 days.
  • Manage any ad hoc projects as per request from Technical Specialist and ROM
  • Compile monthly reports on vehicle breakdowns/inspections/evaluations for the branch.
  • Capturing of VIR documents timeously and correctly
  • Responsible for OHS Act compliance within area of responsibility.
  • Responsible to collate hours for all MHE units.
  • Undertake stock count at service providers and in the branch.

Qualifications

  • Matric
  • Qualified Artisan (Petrol/Diesel)
  • Diploma in Road Transport or Logistics
  • Tertiary Technical Qualification

Experience

Sound vehicle technical and maintenance knowledge

  • Road Traffic Act and regulations

  • Excellent technical knowledge of Light, Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicles and Material Handling Equipment
