We are looking for a Human Resources Generalist to join our team at the Ackermans Hammarsdale Distribution Center. This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
- Performance Management: Drive and monitor performance management discussions.
- Succession Planning: Consolidate feedback and training obtained from KPI discussions.
- Recruitment and Selection: Support the recruitment process, from advertising to shortlisting and conducting interviews.
- Induction Programs: Facilitate and coordinate induction programs for new employees.
- Exit Interviews: Conduct comprehensive exit interviews.
- HR Advice and Support: Provide guidance and support on policies, procedures, and industrial relations issues.
- Talent Mapping: Gather and analyze information related to talent mapping.
- HR and Payroll Administration: Compile and coordinate HR and payroll administrative tasks, such as payroll inputs, correspondence, offer and regret letters, filing, record keeping, and organogram updates.
- HR Related Projects: Contribute to and work on various HR-related projects.
Qualifications and Experience
- 3-year tertiary HR Qualification in Human Resource Management or Industrial and/or Organizational Psychology.
- Minimum of three years’ experience as an HR Generalist within a HR team, preferably in a retail environment.
- Alternatively, have at least five years’ experience as an HR Administrator in a retail setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft packages, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Solid understanding of Employment Legislation and CCMA proceedings.
