Job Description

A producer of flexible plastic packaging, ITB Flexible Packaging Solutions (ITB) is a member of the Novus Holdings Group. ITB manufactures a variety of packaging for the food and FMCG industries. Retail bags, security bags, FFS food packaging, heavy duty sacks, and carrier bags are some of its merchandise that is sold domestically and overseas.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensuring vehicle’s roadworthiness, cleanliness, and neatness at all times
• Packing and loading products onto vehicles according to the company’s specifications
• Record daily trip sheet.
• Maintaining of POD file and trip sheet on a daily basis
• Delivering of goods to customers on assigned routes.
• Ensuring relevant invoices and COCs are obtained collecting goods.
• Maintaining ongoing communication with the Despatch supervisor/ Manager and clients of the company
• Unloading of goods as per clients’ specifications
• Obtaining delivery confirmations from each client

Educational Requirements

• Matric Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent.
• Valid South African code 10 drivers’ licence .
• Valid South African Public Driving Permit (PDP).

Experience Requirements

• At least 2 years of truck driving experience (preferably in big cities.
• Willingness and ability to work overtime as and when required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Skills and Competencies

• Valid South African code 10 driver’s licence with a clean driving record with references.
• A person with sober habits
• Valid South African Public Driving Permit (PDP)
• Ability to pass company driving test, background check, drug, and alcohol test.
• Strong customers service skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Must possess a positive and professional attitude.
• Ability to speak, read and write English.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
